I’ve been planning this kitchen renovation in my head for the past 4 years, so to finally have it finished in less than two months feels a bit surreal! It’s left me wondering why I didn’t do this sooner!
It seriously feels like I gutted the old kitchen and put in a new one. It’s amazing what a little bit of paint and elbow grease can do! I was able to pull off this renovation for less than $2500! With the average kitchen reno costing 20-30k I think I did pretty good. Just refacing your cabinets professionally can cost over $3000 which is more than I spent on this entire kitchen remodel. Once I accounted for taxes and some of the smaller items I had to purchase like sandpaper, brushes, wood filler, etc., I estimated the total cost to be approximately $2500. To be honest though, even if I had a much grander budget I still would have designed the space exactly the same. It turned out even better than I imagined!
